NU pitching coach Jeff Christy have mutually agreed to part ways

The way Bolt worked his a$$ off in the transfer portal last year, it doesn't seem likely he'll just name Childress and be done with it. No stone unturned, and if Rob is the best choice, so be it, but a little outside perspective might not be the worst thing either, as long as they also bring experience and a track record.

This has been a long time coming. Christy was a hell of a catcher for DoNU, but we were consistently seeing underwhelming performance as pitching coach. 
 

Plus with the hire from Wichita State and promoting Rob Childress…I think the issues we have will be addressed. There’s zero reason why we can’t be consistently at or near the top of the B1G in baseball. Plus if USC and UCLA are playing ball in the B1G, conference baseball could be on an upswing…
