Hopefully Ohtani can still hit, because him and Matt Olson are 7 dingers away from slamming 50!  With about 25+ games left.

As much as I hated to see it, the Mets getting rid of deGrom and Syndergaard was the right choice.  Just too many injury issues.

Unfortunately they went with other older pitchers who weren't able to stay healthy either.

Mariners/Astros in a massive series tonight. I'm a pretty healthy mix of nervous/excited. The prospect of the Ms going back to the playoffs at the expense of the Astros of all teams would be euphoria.

Texas Rangers have led the Division all year with the exception of about 2 weeks recently.  Amazingly, they responded and recaptured their mojo.  

They have 4 games left, with a 2.5 game lead on the Astros and now 4 game lead on the M's.  

Rangers 89-69

Astros 87-72

Mariners 85-73

There’s bad officiating in all level of sports. But, this guy is the epitome of it.

He's absolutely horrible. I've always thought that it's just generally bad when people know the name of an umpire, referee, official, etc. It's rarely for a good reason.

In other news, the Dbacks are hanging on for the wild card. I think that's a pretty amazing accomplishment for that team, although I fully expect it to be a very short playoff run if they do make it.
