I keep hearing how being in this lousy conference is the best because we make $50 million more than being in the Big 12,...so let's quit playing games and go after Cam Ward, the best QB in the portal by far.

It's not about how much money the school makes.  The NIL cooperatives are about donations from boosters, or even just allowing kids to make money for doing their own things.

If anything, that extra "$50 mil" is important if boosters are going to give to the NILs instead of the universities.  Huskers still need cash for everything else.

From all the info I have seen we have money in NIL for the top QBs. The issue is when a QB like Ward has the top schools also going after him offering the same money he is going to go to a school with much better offensive weapons and just a general better set up for success.

My point is that if we're gonna act like the BIG TEN is so great, we need to act like we're trying to compete with the conference owners Michigan and Ohio State.

They are planning to get significant donations to the stadium remodel project.  That money could go to NIL instead.

Yes, but UNL collects the funds for the stadium & they are not going to share their sponsor list with an outside company.  Only so much money available.
