Michigan and Harbaugh under NCAA investigation

You've been posting this weird type of stuff quite a bit lately. Nebraska fans in general don't tend to hate Michigan, even though we joke about the '97 championship. I honestly don't think many hated them even then, we hated the system and the voters. People (here) don't dislike Harbaugh because he coached Michigan.

The other weird post(s) I remember, I don't remember what the main thing you were commenting on was, but then you said something like "you probably hate Texas too." Nebraska fans who don't at least dislike Texas are wrong.
Dually noted. I will work on it  :)

I wonder how NFL coaches or GMs submit requests for invites? I wonder how many Michigan players the Chargers will draft. He is 15 drafted players. GEORGIA.

Riley said when building this staff, he asked himself what he wanted his program to become.

He wants to emulate Michigan’s build, but that’s easier said than done because it’s heavily reliant on development and requires a lot of work and patience. Riley wants to sign high school players, build from the ground up and become less dependent on the transfer portal.

“The only way that model works — you go get the best developers of talent, and you give the best high school players a reason for why they would want to sign with USC,” Riley said.

He gave Michigan credit for the work it did in recent years that led to a national championship this past season.

“They built it and, in a lot of ways, did it the right way,” Riley said.

The Wolverines’ recruiting rankings from the 2021 through 2023 cycles were 13th, ninth and 17th nationally.

During "the covid period" ?

The time when the world was turned upside down?  People dying.  Zoom meetings, masks, covid shots, etc...  I mean they even played games with cardboard cutouts for fans.

I don't mind teams getting fines, penalties and probation.  As long as it was outside of that nerve-wrecking crisis time (covid).

I agree. This was for cheeseburger-gate and Harbaugh not cooperating because he thought it was stupid. I am surprised Michigan took the penalty since Harbaugh was suspended for 3 games for this and Moore one game, but it doesn't really hurt them.

In other notes an NFL scout was asked if sign-gate would affect the draft stock of Michigan players. This was his answer.

"Nobody in the NFL cares."  "I've watched them play, and I've watched them physically beat the snot out of everybody up front."  "I don't think there's some piece of information that's the reason why Aiden Hutchinson just put the Ohio State tackle on his backside.  I don't see the connection there."  "They have a bunch of NFL players, they're big, they're strong, they're physical, and they beat people up."

I'm sure his phone was just out of storage...

The draft, which could be subject to change, states Moore could face a show-cause penalty and possibly a suspension for allegedly deleting a thread of 52 text messages with former Michigan staffer Connor Stalions in October 2023 on the same day that media reports revealed Stalions was leading an effort to capture the playcalling signals of future opponents.

The draft states that the texts were later recovered via "device imaging" and Moore "subsequently produced them to enforcement staff." Moore is accused of committing a Level 2 violation, according to the draft.

Moore, who took over as the Wolverines' head coach in January after serving as their offensive coordinator for several seasons, is considered a potential "repeat violator" by the NCAA because in August 2023, he negotiated a resolution to claims that he contacted recruits during a COVID-19 recruiting dead period.

Former Michigan staff members Jim Harbaugh, Chris Partridge, Denard Robinson and Stalions are also accused of committing Level 1 violations, the most serious category in the NCAA's enforcement process. The school also faces a Level 1 violation charge, according to the draft, because of its "pattern of noncompliance within the football program" and institutional efforts to hinder or thwart the NCAA's investigation. Former coaches Jesse Minter and Steve Clinkscale are also accused of recruiting violations unrelated to Stalions in the draft.

Accusations,,,,  possible text messages... covid-19

I know it hurts to lose 3 years straight to Michigan and not winning a Conference Championship......   or being the face of the league anymore, but  Ohio State, with the Big Ten, and the NCAA need to let it go.

I mean, college players are getting paid to play these days.  Some are making millions by going to your school.  And there's a playoff system that is changing from 4 teams to 12 teams to something else in the future.

Things are so different than they ever where.  Just let all of this crying go already and shut up.  Move forward.  It's exhausting.
