Economy

I hope I am never ever ever involved with a private equity group.
I feel like those 2 main points should be illegal, but I see suppliers and vendors doing the exact same thing in automotive. They source their tier 2 and 3 business to companies under the same general ownership (or a company their kid owns) even if it costs their tier 1 company more money. It's just an expensive shell game.

I know people clown RL but that place was sooooo good when I was a kid.
I had to ask my parents a couple months back "Were Chili's and the other old chains like RL really that good back in the day? Because it's microwaved garbage now." They confirmed my childhood memories that, yes, it was infact pretty good food back in the day and is crap now.

s#!t, TGIFridays were so popular as bars back in the day...you could not get into one they were so packed.

The big 3 were TGIFridas, Chilis and Applebees, right?

Yes, that’s the only place worth a shot in the entire  place. One of the worst airports.

And, TGIF as one of my favorite places back in the day. It’s sad.
TGIF was great!  So was Red Lobster.  I have an old retired teaching buddy, in his ;ate 70's and he SWEARS that TGIF's was the spot to go to party back in the day.

Okay...let me ask...do you remember Sizzler?

FFIE getting some pub

”GameStop (GME) and AMC (AMC) weren't the only stocks caught up in this week's meme craze. While shares of the short-lived rally's flag bearers continued to unravelFriday, smaller meme-related equities ended the week with higher gains.

For example, EV-related startup Faraday Future (FFIE) soared as much as 122% Friday before crashing into red territory. The stock still gained more than 2,000% over the past five days.”

To this day, Doge and another shiba themed s***coin are the two best “investments” I’ve ever made. No analysis or anything. Just a whim.

Dollar cost averaging SPY has been good. But when your best investments are dog themed pretend internet currency… it’s a little tough to go back to the slow and steady SP fund strategy.
