2024 B1G Baseball Tournament

Only hope is that this gets the bad game out of their system and they'll run through the rest of the tourney. More likely, Bolt is thinking about the NCAA Tourney and making sure Sears and Mason are ready to take the first two games and then just go from there.
Actually, Childress has a history of not pitching what one would probably consider the ace in game one of conference tournaments. 1999: Komine? No, Chad Wiles. 2001: Komine? No, Jamie Rodrigue. 2002: Komine? No, Aaron Marsden. 2004: regular Friday starter Zack Kroenke? Nope, Justin Pekarek. 2005: Joba? Nope, Brian Duensing. Now granted, this year's staff is NOT deep like all but 2004 (Nebraska's first year since 1998 not making the NCAA tournament), but nevertheless, Childress more often than not didn't, in fact, start his "ace".

Wow...not sad that it happened to Iowa....but that's a bad call.
I had the chance to watch the end of that game on my lunch break. Inarguably one of the worst calls I've ever seen, and I laughed soooo much because it ended Iowa's season (ostensibly. The next dude could have not struck out but eh).

If anyone is watching the Michigan vs Penn State game the B1G just showed how ingrained they are in always ruling in favor of the OG programs. Top of the inning Penn State challenges a hit batter and the announcers after the replay say for sure the call will be reversed. Nope, Penn State loses the challenge, on to the bottom of the inning. Michigan at the plate, bang bang play at 1st.. Penn State challenges, clearly shows PSU defense gets the out but again, the call stands, Michigan runner safe. Thankfully PSU gets a double play and the inning ends. Sadly though, on 2 calls that should have been reversed and weren't, PSU is out of challenges.

If you haven't seen it and want, watch the 5th inning.
