I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but the year is 2024 not 1999.
This. The players being recruited weren't alive and probably know little to nothing about Nebraskas dominance, it is reaching the post where their parents probably didn't know each other when Nebraska was good.

Although a video of current players reacting to the tear away jerseys, and giant shoulder pads would be entertaining

St. Louis is a city where Nebraska needs to do better.

Locking up 4* players at important positions is good for Nebraska, let's hope they keep the ball rolling in June.
Tough city to win recruiting battles in consistently.  It is a very talented area with lots of speed. Ohio state has done well in the Lou but for the most part it is open for business.  Public schools there are not good, so all the talent lands in the private schools. These kids have been getting recruited since there 6th grade year to play ball. Best way to win recruiting there would be to get a desmet, cbc, or Ritter coach on staff in some capacity.

LSU had the old desmet coach there for a bit and the Lutheran north or trinity coach went to Illinois.

Yeah, St. Louis is a city where college coaches need to develop long term relationships with the high school coaches in the area, at least moreso than other cities.

You can't pop in and out and expect to do well recruiting there. Hopefully Nebraska is willing to put in the long term commitment necessary to land top talent in the city.
