We appreciate your dedication to the facts, honestly. Keep with the due diligence it is very respectable.

I had asked you what you think the relevance of a 15 dollar donation 3 years ago has with the shooting on Saturday given everything we do know about the shooter? Not being sarcastic I genuinely would like to know if you think it is relevant and if you think the attack had political motivation or not. I think the discussion around why Crooks did what he did could be very interesting.

In my opinion it is not very straightforward at all and should cause reflection within all of us about where we are as a country and where we want to go.

My guess is this kid was pretty conflicted in whatever his beliefs were, obviously a complete whacked out nut job too.   
 

Hard to say how political this loser was since not much has been reported about it.   Possibly had nothing to do with politics and it was just a crime of opportunity since the rally was somewhat close to his location to make himself famous by shooting a President.  
The nutbag could also have been thinking he’s feels he’s doing the country a service by attempting what he did, based on rhetoric he followed.  Who knows at this point

Im quite positive Trump is old, and certainly wouldn’t be surprised if he gets tired during the day.   He has been known to tweet (or truth or whatever it’s called) at 1,2,or3 in the morning.

My thinking is this

I personally know 0 people that have ever donated to a political party.

I feel like if you are donating your money (or time, like @TGHusker said he used to protest at Abortion Clinics, which to me screams that he is very passionate about it) if you are giving money or time to a cause, you are clearly passionate about it, in my book.

Now, was it a motive for shooting trump?  No idea.  But I am guessing that people that have shot up abortion clinics and bombed the clinics probably gave time/money to anti-abortion causes before taking the next step in being crazy.

In simple terms, no one gets a Husker tattoo as their first step into being a Husker fan.  They have already given time and money in other ways first...and then it grows. 

I do not think the dollar amount is significant.  15 dollars to one person can be very different than 15 dollars from another person.

I believe it has since come out that the $15 donation to a Democratic PAC came from an elderly Pennsylvanian with the same name as the shooter.

I’m not gonna be posting here that much now that it seems America has settled on the stupid conman fascist speedrun as I’ve decided our federal political system is just too broken and malignant to be worth bothering with, but still, reading through a couple pages of replies..

What the f#&% happened to us that our politics devolved into this brainless soap opera dynamic? It’s like watching Idiocracy happen in real time.
