If God's hand shielded Trump then God's hand is also implicitly linked to the first responder killed by the same bullet. Whether you want to perceive it as God choosing to kill that person instead of Trump, God choosing not to protect one life in order to protect another, God caring about one but not caring about the other, or any other lens to look through, this is weak and dishonest theology that makes a mockery of God, and as such deserves to be mocked.

Extremist figures and members of the Make America Great Again movement have criticized the wife of Ohio Senator JD Vance after former President Donald Trump named him as his running mate in the 2024 election.

Usha Vance, the daughter of Indian immigrants, was raised in San Diego before meeting her husband at Yale Law School. They were married in 2014 and later blessed by a Hindu pundit in a separate ceremony, The New York Times reported.

In the wake of Trump's vice presidential announcement on Monday, numerous conservative and far-right figures have taken to social media to launch racist attacks against Usha Vance because of her Indian heritage and the assumption that her influence on her husband's political career means the Republican Party will be softer on immigration.

"I'm sure this guy is going to be great on immigration," Jaden McNeil, a far-right activist and the founder of America First Students, wrote on X, formerly Twitter, while sharing a picture of the Vances with their newborn baby.

Nick Fuentes, a white supremacist who visited Trump at his Mar-a-Lago home along with rapper Kanye West in November 2022, suggested that Vance would not be a "defender of white identity" because of his wife's Indian heritage.

"Who is this guy, really?" Fuentes said on his podcast. "Do we really expect that the guy who has an Indian wife and named their kid Vivek is going to support white identity?"

Vincent James Foxx, who was present at the January 6, 2021, attack on the Capitol, wrote on X: "JD Vance gets tapped as VP and immediately there's a Hindu prayer at the RNC. Next we'll see Sen. Mike Lee and JD Vance team up to convince Trump to let in 10 million Indian immigrants. Green cards on diplomas!"

The idea that he might "drop out" is insane.  He said over and over he is not dropping out.  The problem is a lot of D's are freaking out NOW because they bought into this idea that JB literally just changed 4 weeks ago.

Those D's being stupid and continually saying JB just had a stutter are now in freak out mode and trying to make a change...they want to change out the guy that got the MOST VOTES EVER 3.5 years ago.

They won't own it of course, they won't come out and say they fell for it because that would mean having to admit they were wrong and that they are easily fooled by tweets and media.

Dumping Biden now is an auto-loss.  Period.  There is no super candidate standing behind the curtain.

The time to replace Biden was to have an actual primary with multiple candidates. That time has passed and Dems need to live with their choices.

I profoundly disagree.

You can't say that a candidate that 70% of his own party wants to be replaced is an auto-loss if they go with an alternative candidate. 

The reason why Democrats want him replaced is because his electoral position had rapidly deteriorated. Biden is a sinking ship that risks pulling the House and multiple Senate seats down with him. 

He's a house fire. People who want him to stay are just hoping the fire isn't as bad as their eyes are telling them and they're assuming that fire is going to be contained in the bedroom. It won't.

Yeah, this might come as a surprise, but the vast majority of Trump voters will be registered Republicans knowingly voting for an adjudicated Rapist.

The rest of his votes will come from low information voters are are unaware that he's a convicted felon, adjudicated rapist, and twice impeached moron.

At least they have the excuse that they just don't know any better. Weird, but here we are.

I'm with you, I think Democrats need to quickly decide to either back Biden OR make a switch. They must be all in the same page.

But look, Joe Biden realistically can't be in a worse electoral position. Just by being the Democratic nominee his chances of winning are decently high.  He's at the floor of his support, it can't get worse. Simultaneously, he isn't going to improve his position because no amount of public appearances are going to make his issue if age go away. In fact, they've only bolstered his opposition because even in those he has bad moments. 

So the choice is to stick with the candidate at the floor and hope that's enough or they switch to candidate that at least has the ability to go above it.

I don't feel "better" about any of this horrific horses#!t, but I remain solid in mocking Christians who are intent on deifying a false idol who follows virtually none of the teachings of Christ. 

By your logic it was God's hand that elected Joe Biden, inspired millions to take to the streets for Black Lives Matter, and sent thousands of displaced migrants towards the warm bosom of His favorite country.
