2024 Alternate Jerseys

We will literally throwback any uniform except this one.... and I don't understand that.

This athletic departments choices of alternate, in general, is mind boggling.  Everything doesn’t need a meaning or significance!  Just do a cool uniform.  There’s guys all over the interwebs that have made tons of cool helmets and unis.

Overthinking is a good word to sum up Nebraska since Osborne left. It fits with these uniforms, it fits when they do in the GameDay experience like @krc1995 mentioned, it fits with firing 9 win coaches etc. 

The conference does it to, that's how we get forced things like the heroes and heartland trophies, and they deny anything organic from actually happening.

Sports media does it also and it drives me nuts. Not every highlight is a "catch of the year candidate?!", and stop telling me about potential no hitters in the 6th or 7th! :lol:

If I saw those on a rack in a store I wouldn't even know that's a Nebraska jersey. I probably wouldn't even think it's a real jersey at all. It looks llike a cheap unlicensed knockoff jersey.

Also are we ever going to get a uniform that goes with a black helmet that has a  chrome N, or a chrome helmet with a Black skull and bones logo please.

I think this is a great observation.  I’d even add to it.

Shouldn’t the consumer say’ “I’d like to go buy that shirt/jersey”?  It seems like when they do black you see them around.  No one is buying that unless they can’t figure out a gift for grandpa at the nursing home.

Throwbacks are so much better than some random black jersey/helmet or red with weird block numbers.

Still don’t know why we’ve never seen 1971 throwbacks with the shoulder stripes.

Another point is why come up with an alternative jerseys that look cool that @SWIHuskerpointed out just to trash them the next year?  There is a lot of money wasted.

Ummmm, this is not HS, the jerseys don't last for 5 years and then get handed down to the JV squad and then down to the sophs and then down to the 9th graders..

The all whites in the second picture were sick! You could change the helmet logo, but everything about them was sharp!

I actually loved the switch in the helmet emblem with the NU. I thought it looked good, but wasn’t something over the top.
