Censorship

Facebook is having lots of accidents lately.

"Since then, Facebook has said they made a mistake. They said that yesterday because we put out a letter to it in an article on Newsweek. And they said they made a mistake. It was – their automatic systems had detected it."

A Facebook spokesperson told Newsweek Tuesday, "While there are no restrictions on this page that would prevent the admins from posting, we did identify a handful of ads from this account that were incorrectly rejected. This happened because our automated systems mistakenly determined that content about President Reagan required prior authorization in accordance with our policies for ads about Social Issues, Elections or Politics. This was a mistake and the restriction on the ads has been lifted."

"Oh, how convenient," Rogan replied sarcastically, before going on to suggest that "rogue" far-left employees might have had something to do with the "mistake."

I think I missed a few of these. Pavel is accused of pedophile content, among other things. Punish him if that's true. 'mean' memes....Who cares? Maduro is probably squelching dissent which isn't good. UK threating citizens of other countries is a joke. We need to be careful where this ends up.

Probably not a good idea to get your "freedom of speech news", or any "news" really, from Elmo.

Meta admits to government pressured censorship from the Biden admin. Yet continues to do it.

Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg admitted in a letter on Monday that his company, Facebook, was pressured by the Biden-Harris administration to censor Americans, particularly regarding COVID-19 content

He told Jordan that in 2021, "senior officials" from the Biden administration and White House "repeatedly pressured our teams for months to censor certain COVID-19 content, including humor and satire."

No more fun for you!

Zuckerberg wrote. "I believe the government pressure was wrong, and I regret that we were not more outspoken about it.

Like him or not the guy lost a ton of money breaking up the censorship monopoly. I will always appreciate that. If he hadn't taken over Twitter we would all be dealing with the same level of BS that happened in 2020 and 2021. Even if X swings the pendulum too far the other way, we still won't be balanced.

Pssst….he didn’t break anything up. He sensors stuff just as much or more than before he bought it.

In this case, he’s about as big of a fraud as Trump.

It’s also been shown that his partners in the deal are Russia and Saudi Arabia. So, they financed him and he’s actively using the platform to promote Trump.

Your respect is not placed well.

Wat??? He lost a lot of money because he's a f#&%ing idiot. He setup a contract to buy Twitter, then made a bunch of absurd and false statements that tanked the stock (probably actual manipulation), then tried to back out at least 3 times with lawsuits, then tied to buy at a lower price, and was finally basically forced to buy at the original price. Guys a f#&%ing moron.

Bad news for all decent citizens opposed to having the powerful tell us what to think and believe, but also not really surprising at all.
