** 2024 Opponent Preview : USC (Game 10) **

Just saw Brian Kelly talking to Nebraska’s hottest defensive coordinator on the LSU sideline. Couldn’t even remember his name and had to search for awhile.

Bob Diaco is currently a defensive analyst for LSU.

Anyhow, USC looked good today.
I did a “holy crap”.  Had to tell my boys to Google “Bob Diaco quotes”.  That was fun.

and I agree, USC looked good.  Early out of the gate looks like tOSU and USC.

I'm glad you meant hottest as in cute, and not most eligible for another job.  I had a mild panic attack thinking Tony White was somehow there before I read your next sentence.

LSU defense was really awful last year.  HC Brian Kelley said a month ago "we are still trying to figure out how to get better on defense, and it will take some time".

Tonight's game was pretty good (USC vs LSU).

But it also says a lot about the potency of USC's offense without Caleb Williams at quarterback.

And it says a lot about LSU's offense without Jayden Daniels playing QB (both were Heisman QBs).

In another words, I like our chances against USC this year.  I'm not really worried about them.

Does anyone really listen to Paul Finebaum?  He's an SEC shill & doesn't know crap about crap.  I'd listen to him about football about as much as I'd listen to him about hair care products.
I just think his job is like a political pundit. They don't have to know anything, and many of them don't.  They just have to get people talking, generate engagement and interaction.  Paul is just playing a character.  There have been lots of people who have said Paul Finebaum is a great person and completely different away from his work at ESPN.

The USC team i watched, looked a lot better on D, much better.

They have a very good O, and their q/b is good.

I'm worried about them late in the year, when they get some games under their belt.

I have tickets to that game, and it would be great , if my son and grandsons could see us win one. My son said we are 0-2 going to Cal, would be nice to come back 1-2

GBR !!!

It just looked like good football Sunday night. It was a great contest.

Both QBs making awesome throws, WRs making incredible catches, both teams got the run going at one point or another. Neither QB was really making mistakes but both defenses were limiting points. The offenses looked good but just couldn't score at will. It was just a plain good football game.

What that means to me is USC is just a good football team on both sides of the ball. This is going to be a game where we have to execute at the highest level and still then could get outplayed.

Sounds fun, yall will be fine.  You might even think about upgrading your tickets for better seats because I'm sure there will be some avail.

Don't get too caught up over USC.  They are good so far, but I don't think they are top 10 and unbeatable at all.  LSU is mid-SEC and 4-5 teams are way better than them in their own conference.

And remember this isn't Pete Carroll's USC team, and look at their recent history.  No matter who their "can't miss NFL QB is" that plays for them.  And then that QB is a fraud in the NFL.

I'm just saying,  USC football....

8-5 last year

11-3 with a Heisman Winner!

4-8

5-1

8-5

5-7

USC is a good football program with some good players and a good HC that is offensive minded.  Just don't worry like they are finishing every year in the top 25, or even the top 10.  Even though they get hyped every year by the media and experts.

Have fun!  We will win this game.
