Golf

Loved this guy growing up. RIP
I followed him, Gary McCord and Arnold Palmer around in a practice round once. So close to them I was able to listen to their trash talking. FYI…they were just like us in that aspect. I’m pretty sure they had way more money on the line than I could afford.

I became an even bigger fan of Chi Chi. So funny.

Then, he pulled out a folding chair, sat down behind the clubhouse and signed autographs till the last person was gone. It was well after dark.

So much respect. RIP!!!!

I’ve been playing pretty well recently. Finished second in the regular season of league.

Tonight, I play the worst round of the entire year. Lost 4 balls in 9 holes. And it was a night I really needed to do well.

I love/hate this game.

Tomorrow starts the league post season tourney. I hope I got that out of my system.

2nd is most def not too shabby!!!  Don't worry you are going to play fine.  Grip it and Rip it.  Make your chips and sink your puts.  Good Luck and have fun!

Played a four man scramble at Grizzly Ranch in Beckwaurth California. Top ten public course in CA.

Absolutely beautiful.

Came in at 5 under. Not bad. No bogies. Just one hell of a lot of pars.

First time ever playing in CA.

Been watching a lot of golf the past year.  Never watched much before consistently, even though I know the greats.

But I just love to play 18 holes and swang the clubs with the fellas.  Followed by jokes, laughs, bratwurst and beers.

I am happy to see Rory get the green jacket to be honest because this past year he has been very good to watch.  So I am not so surprised.

However, by watching a lot more consistently than ever before, I have noticed 3 current players that I have become drawn to.

And became "my guys".

DeChambeau, Akshay Bhatia, and Min Woo Lee out of Perth Australia.

I just love watching them more than anyone else and I keep channeling them when I am swinging and chipping and putting throughout my crappy sorry-a$$ golf game.  :) chuckleshuffle   And I love it!

I used to do the pin placements when I worked at a golf course.

Saturday and Sunday at a public course with a lot of older men/women...that flag was right in the middle.

Anything to speed up the rounds and not hear the b!^@hing.
