I'd still rather see him running drag routes beyond the LOS. He runs with too much "momentum" and it takes him awhile to turn it up field. BUT this is a good design when a defense is selling out on the run. You can see he gets lost behind the line when the LBs bit hard on the play fake.Funny how there has been much less complaining about these arrow routes now that we're actually getting some blocking and making some yards.
I have been more impressed than I thought I would be coming into the year. The second half "issues" I believe are being smart and also getting more guys in and trying things in games. We simply have not been in that position in a while.I was driving home during the latter half of the 2nd quarter and was listening to Gary Sharp & Damon Benning. Damon is highly complimentary of Satterfield's offensive concepts. There's a glaring contrast between what he was saying and why you read in the game thread, and here.
OK, gotta ask. What does "Ft." mean?Funny how there has been much less complaining about these arrow routes now that we're actually getting some blocking and making some yards.

Feel like it is a key concept in our offense. On a run Fidone takes the same path many times to deliver a kick out block so it only makes sense to run a pass off of that action. Probably a deep shot off of this as well where reciever fakes the block and runs a go behind itFunny how there has been much less complaining about these arrow routes now that we're actually getting some blocking and making some yards.
