The Israel-Hamas War

Here is the article - pretty amazing.  What is next - Adult Diapers???

Israel blew up thousands of two-way personal radios used by Hezbollah members in Lebanon in a second wave of an intelligence operation that started on Tuesday with the explosions of pager devices, two sources with knowledge of the operation told Axios.

Why it matters: The second wave of clandestine attacks is another serious security breach in Hezbollah's ranks and increases pressure on the militant Lebanese group.

  • Lebanon's official news agency reported that at least three people were killed and dozens wounded in the explosions across the country.
  • The walkie-talkies were booby-trapped in advance by Israeli intelligence services and then delivered to Hezbollah as part of the militia's emergency communications system, which was supposed to be used during a war with Israel, the sources said.
  • The attack further damages Hezbollah's military command and control system.

Driving the news: On Tuesday, Israeli intelligence services blew up thousands of pager devices used by members of Hezbollah's military units and institutions.

  • At least nine people were killed, including a child, and more than 2,800 were wounded in the attack.

On Wednesday afternoon local time during the funerals of some of the Hezbollah members killed in the first attack, a second wave of explosions took place.

  • Videos circulating on social media showed an explosion during one of the funerals that resulted in one Hezbollah guard wounded on the floor.
  • Numerous other explosions were reported in Beirut and across Lebanon — some of them in apartments and houses.
  • One source said that because they were meant to be used only during war with Israel, a large number of the walkie-talkies were in storage in Hezbollah warehouses.

Behind the scenes: The two sources said Israel's goal in the second wave of attacks was to increase paranoia and fear in Hezbollah's ranks, in an attempt to press the militia's leadership to change its policy regarding the conflict with Israel.

Maybe laptops? What would be perfect is if Israel could blow up missles about to be launched. Although, Hezbolla does lauch from hospitals and such, but that is on them.

AOC and the Squad are big mad about the terrorists being pagered by Israel.

For any interested, the aforementioned "big mad" sentiment:

"...and undermines US efforts to prevent a wider conflict.

Congress needs a full accounting of the attack, including an answer from the State Department as to whether any US assistance went into the development or deployment of this technology."

There's a lot of sections in the UN's Convention on Certain Conventional Weapons that might pertain to this, here's a random few:

11. Effective advance warning shall be given of any emplacement of mines, booby-traps and
other devices which may affect the civilian population, unless circumstances do not permit.

2. It is prohibited to use booby-traps or other devices in the form of apparently harmless
portable objects which are specifically designed and constructed to contain explosive
material.

3. Without prejudice to the provisions of Article 3, it is prohibited to use weapons to which
this Article applies in any city, town, village or other area containing a similar concentration
of civilians in which combat between ground forces is not taking place or does not appear to
be imminent, unless either:
(a) they are placed on or in the close vicinity of a military objective; or
(b) measures are taken to protect civilians from their effects, for example, the posting of
warning sentries, the issuing of warnings or the provision of fences.

AOC posited two things. 1. that what happened was illegal and 2. if illegal, Congress should investigate if we had any role in it.

For the first, is it illegal? Maybe. Not a stretch to say 'probably' by virtue of looking at the law and looking at Israel's track record which doesn't deserve any benefit of the doubt. More on that here:

Back to AOC's second call, if it is in fact illegal, should our possible complicity be investigated? People who care about the actual value of law and enforcement would say yes. Is there anything here anyone actually takes issue with?

They'd have to intercept the supply chain with no one knowing. This wasn't a hack. Those pagers don't have a battery big enough to cause that kind of damage. If it were a hack, at best you would have set them on fire with maybe some small fire cracker like explosions, but generally those batteries don't have a lot of oomph. Sounds like Israel planted explosive inside them.

There's something bigger coming. You don't disrupt communication and command of an organization like this to just lay back down again.

Thanks.   Like I said.  AOC and The Squad are big mad along with all the other terrorist sympathizers.

Well done “Israel”  :thumbs
