In those two games, there were six total holding penalties called.

Four were on Nebraska.

Three of those were on our defense.

One was on Jamal Banks.

Of the two called on our opponents, none were called on their offensive line, or in a pass-pro situation. Both were called on Special Teams - one kickoff return, one punt return.

We've generated nine sacks and 18 tackles for loss in the last two games, but our opponents aren't holding at all against that furious pass rush?

Sus.
I'm 99% sure we haven't had an opponent OL called for holding this season.

Defensively this team should snuff out most of the legitimate threats Indiana poses.  But we're going to stall on Offense and make a mistake or two on special teams.  On the road but after a rest, I like us to win but it's going to be uncomfortably close.

Thanks for the laugh!
Came to this board and can’t figure out why everyone here seems to think Nebraska is worth a crap this year. I guess getting beat by a bad Illinois team or squeaking by the worst team in the conference in Purdue ? Seems like that would lead to the conclusion that you all kind of suck this year but I guess it’s having the opposite effect.

Now. When you look at Indiana it’s pretty easy to understand why everyone on earth thinks we cover this spread easily: because we beat the piss out of everyone we play.

Hahahah hey buddy your defense is going to get humiliated. Wake up they’ve stopped absolutely no one

I'll grant you that our D hasn't faced the best offences so far this year. Colorado's might be the best, statistically speaking, we've faced so far I think, and while it's not a world beating offense, they're not a cupcake either. Illinois is pretty good on offense too; not a Natty contender, but still pretty good.

That said, we've done pretty well against everyone we've faced so far. We've shut down everyone we've played except for Illinois, who's strong running and balanced passing attack kept us on the back foot all game. It's been mistakes on offense and special teams that had been holding us back more than anything.

Now, I'll grant you that Indiana has put up good numbers and won every game so far. That said, Indiana hasn't faced the best defenses either. Ironically, Northwestern and Maryland are the toughest defenses they've faced so far this year. Not exactly world beaters.

I think IU is gonna have trouble moving the ball and scoring points against our defense. Sure, they'll punch it in a few times, but I'd be surprised if they get more than 4 TDs. I think 3 TDs and maybe 2 field goals is what they'll put up; 27 points, give or take a bit.

That said, IUs defense has looked pretty good so far this year. Again, they haven't faced the best offenses, but they've done a pretty good job of limiting their opponents. That said, our offense is average at best; too many inopportune penalties at just the wrong time. And our special teams is definitely special. Not in the good way. I think we'll put up 3 TDs and maybe a field goal. If we're lucky. So, 21 or 24 points.

In the end, I think IU will win. Just not by as much as you seem to think they will. And this is assuming there aren't any major injuries or uncharacteristic turnovers on either side. If both teams play like they have been, IU will win in a 1 score game.

But this is college football, and anything can happen any week. If we didn't hope that our teams could beat the odds and pull off the upset, we wouldn't be fans now would we?

Good luck tomorrow, hope you enjoy the game.

If we play four quarters of football and our non-special teams do something special, we have a chance. I wish I was more confident about our chances. Indiana’s HC seems to know what he is doing. Rhule is not there yet. Hope I am wrong and we finally beat a ranked team.

I hadn’t looked at it before today. But Indiana’s schedule so far has been a joke. Did anyone even know Charlotte had a football team?

How can that schedule make people think they’re some kind of powerhouse?
