*** Official Indiana Game Thread ***

At the end of the day this performance by Nebraska has been pathetic.

This teams goal now is just get that 6th win. Get to a bowl game...somehow...someway.

This program needs those extra practices before the spring season to continue to grow and develop.

I think we are all looking at a 6-6 or 7-5 season.
Because of missed bowls, these 5th year guys have missed 48-60 practices.  You can't measure the negative impact this has on a staff.  Or recruiting.  We are now recruiting HS kids who have never seen NU in the post season....NEVER.

I cannot believe how inept we look in all phases of the game.

Our supposedly elite defense? Gave up the first running TD all year. More than one, in fact. Great secondary? Their passing game has barely even stuttered, let alone been stopped.

On offense, we can't seem to move the ball to save our lives. Running game has been anemic at best, and the fumble didn't help. Our receivers can't seem to get open at all; Raiola has had to throw into tight coverage all game, and has inevitably thrown interceptions (more than one!) as a result.

Special teams? No kicking game, punts have been a hair away from being blocked several times, kickoff reception has dropped several kickoffs. Thankfully we at least recovered them, but we haven't gotten many return yards at all.

We look like an FCS team out there. It's embarrassing.
Until we establish any semblance of a rushing attack teams will continue to suffocate our receivers all game long.. 🤕

Well said. I definetely agree with you on the details part, especially when it comes to the details for our overall offensive scheme and special teams.
The offensive scheme is atrocious and has been even when winning games.  But then you have people saying “who cares if we only score 14 as long as we win”.   Well these types of games are why it matters.  The scheme sucks, the OC play design is awful, his use of talent is extremely poor, and technique taught by the position coaches leaves quite a lot to be desired.

WR’s can’t block and probably have the most amount of penalties as a position group.   That’s not talent, that’s effort and technique.

RB’s are lost in pass blocking and finding open cut backs when rushing.   Again, that coaching as much as talent.

DR is a true freshmen yes, but he is certainly regressing and playing way too cautious.  He won’t run, waits way too long to throw the ball, and for whatever reason won’t throw a fast ball into an open small window.   Everything has loft to it.  That’s coaching.
