Because of missed bowls, these 5th year guys have missed 48-60 practices. You can't measure the negative impact this has on a staff. Or recruiting. We are now recruiting HS kids who have never seen NU in the post season....NEVER.At the end of the day this performance by Nebraska has been pathetic.
This teams goal now is just get that 6th win. Get to a bowl game...somehow...someway.
This program needs those extra practices before the spring season to continue to grow and develop.
I think we are all looking at a 6-6 or 7-5 season.
Until we establish any semblance of a rushing attack teams will continue to suffocate our receivers all game long..I cannot believe how inept we look in all phases of the game.
Our supposedly elite defense? Gave up the first running TD all year. More than one, in fact. Great secondary? Their passing game has barely even stuttered, let alone been stopped.
On offense, we can't seem to move the ball to save our lives. Running game has been anemic at best, and the fumble didn't help. Our receivers can't seem to get open at all; Raiola has had to throw into tight coverage all game, and has inevitably thrown interceptions (more than one!) as a result.
Special teams? No kicking game, punts have been a hair away from being blocked several times, kickoff reception has dropped several kickoffs. Thankfully we at least recovered them, but we haven't gotten many return yards at all.
We look like an FCS team out there. It's embarrassing.
He had more confidence before he took some shots in the pocket. After the CU game, he is a bottom 5 Big 10 QBRaiola sucks. There's something seriously flawed with his throwing now.
Remember when it got to 2am’s head? Changed him.Raiola sucks. There's something seriously flawed with his throwing now.
Probably the fear that his O line can’t block and his receivers run horrible routes and he is going to dieRaiola sucks. There's something seriously flawed with his throwing now.
Arm chair coaches, myself included, have said no urgency, too casual, lazy....If we see that how does the QB coach not.Raiola sucks. There's something seriously flawed with his throwing now.
Yep this has become a problem. His arm strength is lacking. You have to zip it in there and let your guys have time to make yards. He’s throwing jump balls and back foot touch passes that are blown up the moment our receivers touch it.DR with a soft throw again.
knapp I had to give you a laughing point for that one. Most people felt like that was our goal the whole year.
I've seen loads of pass attempts where he's had plenty of time to find someone. His throws are cheeks lately.Probably the fear that his O line can’t block and his receivers run horrible routes and he is going to die
Banks had concrete feet and didn't move worth s#!t. Should have been a TD if he moved worth a s#!tBad throw or lack of effort there by Banks...
The offensive scheme is atrocious and has been even when winning games. But then you have people saying “who cares if we only score 14 as long as we win”. Well these types of games are why it matters. The scheme sucks, the OC play design is awful, his use of talent is extremely poor, and technique taught by the position coaches leaves quite a lot to be desired.Well said. I definetely agree with you on the details part, especially when it comes to the details for our overall offensive scheme and special teams.
