It was a bad play call.  End around to short side needs to be wide open to work.  We weren’t looking for merely positive gains. We were getting chunks off tackle and cut backs.

This.  Another post did it eventually comes down to players making plays.   The call would have looked great of 24 does the basics of football

It’s been like that ALL YEAR LONG.   Ruhle just will not be aggressive.  He thinks being up by a score is good enough and assumes the other team will just punt all game long.  It’s idiotic and can’t believe he won’t learn.

Great and all but they had 3 guys there and I do guess a yard(which is the most it would have got) is positive gain.  But again you were getting 6 yard a pop with EJ1 and Dowdell running over the right side

 
Foley needs to be fired. The difference was a missed FG cause of another bad snap and a bad punt return which led to a FG by Iowa. We knew the special teams would be the difference. 

 
1. This team is still the dumbest team in America 

2. special teams was a complete disgrace, foley needs to be canned tomorrow. Whiffed field goal, whiffed punt return, zero punt returns in general, muffed punt.  It’s hard to win a cold as hell big ten game when your special teams is playing for the other team

3. Neyor can walk home with foley. Thanks for the whiff on what woulda been a 50 yard gain at a minimum

4. Minimal urgency by this whole team. Could’ve put the game away early.  You let annoying as hell Iowa hang around and u lose in embarassing fashion

5.  The hh packages are dumb.  Just completely killed our rhythm every time we brought him in

Well considering 24 hasn’t been doing the basics of football all year, then counting on him to do so to make a play like that  work seems like a bad choice.

Rhule, ST was killing us all year and you never addressed it. No excuse. Foley should have been gone weeks ago.
 

We have no explosive playmakers on either side of the ball. So the defense must play a perfect game to win and can’t. The ability to miss 6 tackles on a game changing play is pathetic.

Honeymoon is over Dana. WTF was that?  Should have won this game easily by double digits.

Raiola, you’re on the hot seat buddy. I want a leader to will the team to victory.  Too soft, slow,, can’t escape for easy first downs, throw s#!tty passes that float forever.  Fumble in the most critical time in the game. Like what the hell are you doing out there?  
 

I’m giving this staff one year to flip this roster and get absolute dawgs, tough minded SOB’s in here, that will do everything to win.  Build the OL. We don’t have star QBs, RBs, or WRs because we don’t have star OL, it’s that simple stupid. We have the softest, most mentally fragile team in the country.  Raiola did not change this, he’s of the same mold. I don’t see the fire to win in him and it sucks.

Sucks to say, but Deion was right.  Players win games and we don’t have them.

I can't give reactions, I've used them all up.  So I will simply say, well said.  Hell yea.  This team needs a Prime makeover.  Dana....You fooled me.  But tonite, thanks.  I'm definitely now a fan of the scheme.  Like OC's before you, you went away from what was working and didn't make Iowa stop us.  Iowa continued to feed Johnson who finally broke the will of the D and stole their Sole in his TD run.  BECAUSE THAT"s THEIR IDENTITY.  They never went away from it....

Foely shouldn't even be here to make a call that cost the game...

That play would have gained more yards if they gave it EJ instead of faking it.  They had three guys out there.  One yard, two max if FIdone blocks a guy

 
I would have liked to see Haarberg on the field a lot more tonight. If Raiola knew that mistakes = bench, he’d probably play a lot better.

I suspect part of his deal when coming to Nebraska was that he’d start every game and would decide himself whether to come out or not. During the press conference after the UCLA game he said something weird like “I decided to go back in.” Since when would that be a player decision? Nebraska probably sold out to get him here, I hope this isn’t a Martinez 2.0 situation.
