Daikiel Shorts Hired As New WR Coach

Which ones?
Dejerrian Miller is the only commit he's gotten at UK, and listed for two 4-stars total, one other at UoH. Miller is an absolute dog and I would cry if he brought him with him.

Vince Marrow has done most of their offensive talent recruiting from what it appears on 247.

What has surfaced?

The coaching changes, didn’t mean to imply anything more than that. I mean I guess philosophy butting heads with White and Rhule, but White was foot out the door and Satt was dead man walking. Having Holgorsen come in midseason and then Holgorsen hire a WR coach this quick, that lends distraction in November. I imagine the players were cognizant to see some of this coming.

I think the lack of winning in November save 1 game was enough to tell them changes were coming, we've won what 1 games in November in 2 seasons now?  Certain coaches were not getting the job done so they had to go, name of the game.  Certain players weren't getting it done but they still saw the field, time for them to go, coaches and players.

correct, and my original comment is to maybe applaud the players for sensing changes coming but still doing their job. It wasn’t always the best effort, but they didn’t quit. In particular, Wisconsin and Iowa where aside from putting points on the board, they kicked a$$.

Sounds like Kenf#&%y had a bad offense this year, but it was mainly due to having a terrible line?

I don't get the "Big Ten" experience.  So they need to have experience going against super lame offenses with horrible QB play?

That would be a lot more relevant if we were talking about a defensive coach...

Any of you who have been around today’s football youth — I’m talking 6th grade through high school — will recognize that the “one-on-one” competitive mentality of wide receivers vs. corners and safeties is a unique mentality when compared to all other positions.  Whether you can cover me or, watch me head-top you and pick this pass, is like a mini game within the game- a personal game that is almost secondary to the scoreboard.

Having a relatable position coach who has been there/done that and can speak the language of these competitive youths is HUGE!

If I’m a WR trying to decide on Nebraska and I’m looking at McGuire vs. Shorts — no question, one looks the part, the other doesn’t.  Same goes for a secondary coach.
Or, you better have the resume to back it up if you don’t look the part, and McGuire doesn’t have that.

100% on board with this move!
