There was a lot of extra-curricular violence and taunting in college football last weekend. More than I can ever remember. 

Did a memo go out that the winning team in each Rivals game should try to plant their flag on the opponents logo?

Nah if he don't love Nebraska for what Nebraska provides for him as a football player goodbye.  Have a great college career somewhere else.  I think what might sting a little bit is A) He stays in the Big 10 or B) He goes to more successful program and becomes the starter for them.  A I wouldn't care about but B I would question if he performed well enough during fall camp to be the featured back and wasn't given the opportunity to be.

This was my thinking when I was, like, 18 years old and college football players weren’t allowed to get paid. 

It’s such a dumbass view now that I have a real job and players can get paid. Sure, it’s a bit sad, but for non Nebraska kids, UNL is an employer and that’s how it should be now that money is involved. They are adults, should be looking out for themselves and their families and their futures. But the employers need to have rules that benefit them too. Like consequences to a player leaving after year 1, or to playing horribly, or to not playing at all because they suck. There should be guaranteed salary and non guaranteed salary based on how long they stay and how much they play.

Everyone predicts 6 and 6, or 7 and 5 at the beginning of the season. Not making a bowl is still a real possibility. The team goes 6 and 6 making a bowl, and they lose their goddamn minds! Buncha douchebags
