What a load of BS.
It is a proven fact that Trump was found liable for sexual assaulting a woman. I think @BigRedBuster agrees with me, it's a load of BS that saying "rape" instead of "sexual assault" is worth $15 million. Especially when Trump didn't really seem to suffer any damages, he won the election.I was not aware of the defamation suit until I saw this tweet. I was aware of the 60 Minutes flap...but that is CBS.
The settlement/verdict follows numerous "legal" apologies (not necessarily about Trump) from the ABC progrom the View.
I do think that a lot of the broadcast Media say or broadcast things that are not the proven fact, and then walk it back when called on it. Perhaps this outcome will curtail that, and make the news more factual, which benefits everyone.
A court found him liable for sexual assault. George said he raped her. Pardon me if I don’t find this as some big gotcha moment with ABC where they should pay the piece of s#!t 15 million.Which part, lol?
Then why not say found liable of sexual assault in a civil suit...rather than found guilty of rape?It is a proven fact that Trump was found liable for sexual assaulting a woman. I think @BigRedBuster agrees with me, it's a load of BS that saying "rape" instead of "sexual assault" is worth $15 million. I was just wondering what was a load of bs. Got it.A court found him liable for sexual assault. George said he raped her. Pardon me if I don’t find this as some big gotcha moment with ABC where they should pay the piece of s#!t 15 million.
My understanding is George said “liable” of rape, not guilty. How many non-attorneys really see that as any different? Then why not say found liable of sexual assault in a civil suit...rather than found guilty of rape?
If George had done that...there would be no lawsuit and he would be100 percent correct.
You may be correct. Evidently ABC didn't want to get to depositions and discovery. My understanding is George said “liable” of rape, not guilty. How many non-attorneys really see that as any different?
Reddit, that is surprising.
I'd be interested in knowing how the data was formulated. I went to the link and it really doesn't say.
This....the mantra of "the dishonest liberal media" is getting tiresome and worn out.....other than so many people actually believe it.So the 2024 election comes with a mandate to label liberal media as habitual liars?
I mean, do you really, really want to stack the provable instances of dishonesty and deception up against each other, and declare Fox the winner because they have so many more viewers?
Joe Rogan's views are legit because the women on the View are so irritating?
Elon Musk spending his first day as owner of X by spreading the rumor that Paul Pelosi wasn't attacked by a stranger, but by a gay lover having a spat counts as partisan " balance?"
A reporter using the word "rape" instead of "sexual assault" offsets Donald Trump and his media allies repeating unfounded claims about a stolen election nonstop for four years?
So by "balance" do we mean non-partisan reporting, or being exposed to the same number of opinions from both sides?
