2024 Transfer Portal Ins/Outs

True. I’m not jumping for joy or anything. Just saying I’m willing to trust Bradden and his eval for now. I’d say higher ceiling than Jaylen George but probably a lower floor.
Bradden isn't officially hired yet. Same as Snow and Addison. Not sure how much eval they are doing yet if at all.

do nebraska fans really think this staff is going to out recruit the best teams in the country for portal players? its going to go a lot like Nebraska's high school recruiting a few top guys and the rest will be projects.
Nebraska can do better than this. Some of this is unfortunate timing due to us losing Tony/Pot Roast for sure. But Nebraska can absolutely get a better caliber transfer than this. Rhule is still getting the same caliber of transfers as in year 1/2 as he is in year 3. Doesn't bode well for him long term.

I would think 1890 & revenue sharing would be enough to get adequate players.

Strikes me that Nebraska doesn’t feel very good about other DL prospects. Be that money or just interest to get someone better. This one has to be a cheap price tag. Can’t imagine there are very many other power 5 suitors.
These D Line adds are concerning to me.  The George guy had like 15 tackles last year.  This guy today (Gabe Moore) hasn’t played yet.

Seems like we are doing the same stuff we’ve been doing.

Every 4 or 5 star player Nebraska is trying to get out of the portal or high school is being recruited by schools that have every advantage Nebraska has and more. Most of the Big schools and sec teams that think they are have millions in nil and will have revenue sharing just like Nebraska. If you weren't a Nebraska fan and you had an offer from Oregon or some school like that where you can make a s#!t ton of money and compete for national titles the decision seems pretty easy. Nebraska is going to be a development kind of program that takes the diamond in the rough types and trys to make a 9-3 kind of team out of it.

Spot on. There are only so many studs in the portal and we're expected to earn the commitments from how many exactly? We arguably got a top 5 add with Nwaneri and all we see are complaints about how we're not getting any talent into the program. Would it be nice to add a bunch of all-conference players? Yes. Are there 100 other programs trying to do the same thing? Yes.

All we can do is hope that the coaches are evaluating effectively and will develop well over the next nine months. Belly aching about missing out on some WAC kid with ~30 starts and a big body, but played for a team averaging 3 wins a year is foolish.

Your comments at times lack common sense or knowledge of the player.  It appears every player we get a portal player, he has to be a starter.
I never said starter not once did I say starter.  If you get any type of contribution from him we are lucky.  I don't understand how you took me saying being a contributor is being a starter.  You would like the guys you bring in from the portal to contribute otherwise why bring them in at all?
