Yeah I felt like I could hear Husker nation's collective "no!" when we all saw him slide about a yard/yard and a half short of that first down line near the end lol. And on the topic of sliding, I don't personally really want to see him draw late hit penalties because he starts his slide too late. I completely side with defenses in those situations and how frustrating it all is. Obviously, I'm glad he wasn't hurt and it gave Nebraska a huge first down, but those plays hurt quarterbacks a lot and also feel a bit unfair (the latter part being an issue for the game to figure out, not Dylan).

But the criticism he's received has been well earned. He's whiffed on a LOT of blocks this year, ending plays that had potential way too many times.

Criticism is fine. Saying I wish he would enter the portal is different. That's the people I was commenting about. There is this weird thing with some fans where if a player comes in with certain expectations and are only a solid contributor they will get really upset with that player and over exaggerate how bad that player is.

Donovan Jones is not only a CB, he has apparently moved past several young players who've been touted by the staff at the position.  

The speed of Shavers at LB is a difference maker.  More of that on D please.  

Cam Lenhardt forgot how to line up onside.  I noticed 3x he was lined up well offside before it was called near the goalline and twice was on 3rd & Long.    

According to the announcers, I strongly disagree with what Dylan Raiola & Dana Holgorsen think he needs to improve on most this offseason.  There's a lot to love about the kid, but he's way to casual with some throws.  If I'm DH, I want to see him throwing the ball with less air & more velocity.  At the very least, more often.

Rhule is still too casual with a lead, and it almost resulted in another epic meltdown.  

Enough is enough with the special teams.  It almost takes effort to be this inept.  On the fake FG, BB tip toed with the ball.  There is no way he scores in that scenario without running through a tackler and there is no way he ever repped that in practice and gave anybody confidence that would happen.  

 
Boston College was a good matchup for us, they were on our (pretty much mediocre) level. It was a good game, yet frustrating to only put up 7 points in the second half.

I feel like some fans - maybe even myself at some points in the season - expected way too much out of Raiola. I'm taking stock right now of what kind of potential he has, and I really believe he can be a legit superstar when he's a junior, and maybe we don't quite understand that or don't believe it could happen or something.

I don't think that Holgorsen is any kind of savant as an OC but he's better than Satterfield, and he's aggressive.

I also think the awful turf conditions held Emmett back a bit today.

Beyond tired of the second half special teams gaffes that let the other team back into the game. Having a player being completely unblocked on a punt is just crazy.

We'll see Holgorsen's creativity or lack thereof after we've seen him establish a core set of concepts opponents start overplaying.  I will admit I thought the premise he was going to run the existing offense was a smoke screen, but he really has adopted Satt's playbook.  If he's added anything, it appears to be more in the neighborhood of slants & pro style dig, drive, post concepts.  

On the other side, I think it would be more accurate to label NU's defense a multiple 4-2-5 at this point.
