Rhule has had some perplexing hires. hell the last few coaches at this school have brought an amazing amount of drift wood. At Nebraska if you aren’t a voracious recruiter you better be a damn good coach on the field. Foley was neither.

Can we not use that as a measuring stick for anything? That's basically saying he isn't driving the ship in reverse while drunk.

Thankfully we can look to improve on special teams. This wasn’t just a kicker thing and we had fundamental execution problems we haven’t seen at Nebraska since our incredible run of punters/kickers throughout T.O.’s career. During Callahan and Frost we have had some questionable kickers, marginal punters, or non existent punt and kick returners. 
 

We got to all of these this year along with poor snaps, unable to get punts and field goals off cleanly, and questionable planning/decision making. Hopefully we make progress forward in big ways. This needs to have been rock bottom.
