Who's Leaving? 2024/25 version

Thanks. But I my rant(s) were about Fidone.

Your reply below was to a post by Huskerfollower4life about Neyor, not Fidone. But if your rants are about Fidone, why? Why do you like Fidone more than you like Neyor?

I’m thinking that it is his choice and not yours to judge or criticize. Have you thought of supporting him or demonstrating gratitude for the time he has given to our program? If you think you can advise him better get a message to him.

Feels like he's missing a lot names here... Brandl, Seagren, Fennesy on the OL for instance... but yeah obviously we're all watching this closely this off season.

Yeah, I started going though that to update my list.  But I'm not sure how accurate it is.  Usually they're pretty good.  But Seagren was on the two-deep in the second half of the year.  Unless he thinks he can start somewhere else.

Yeah there's a few names, until I see them in the portal, I won't believe they're gone. Seems kind of random, from the list of guys who walked on Sr. Day, who they plucked out and who they didn't, esp. amongst Jrs.

Like I said, usually they are pretty good at this.  But they've already revised their chart, with Brandl, Seagren and Fennessy back on the list.  Plus a couple of others, because their total is up by 5 since they originally posted it.

I still have us at 138 - compared to their 134 - with four would-be seniors being the difference: OL Joey Mancino, LB Michael Booker, LB Grant Buda and LS Camden Witucki being the difference.  It's possible they know those guys are not coming back for another year.

That tends to happen when a player fails to block while also dropping easy catchable passes.   He wasn’t very good/and or consistent at either of his jobs as an experienced player.

Im sure most posters don’t wish ill towards the dude and hope he does well in whatever life brings him.   Some of us just would prefer we try someone else.
I am ok with Fidone returning (or Not).  He is currently 3rd best and can make a few plays in a game.  But definitely no longer an every down starter.

In comparison, Fidone is not as quick as Haarberg.  Definitely not as fast or even twitchy.  I'm not sure TF is more physical than HH.  In fact, I would place HH second at TE.  The kid is just dying to play hard, physical and fast and do all the right things. Him and Fidone could swap out in a rotation.

But it only took a set of eyes to see that Luke is the best Tight End on the team.  #44 will be a RJR next season.  I look forward to seeing him play well and with HH.

Carter needs to recover from hip surgery.  He really needed the off-season to add good weight and get physically stronger.  The rehab will hold him back a bit.  When he returns in the fall, will probably be a stand-up Slot guy in space as an extra WR.  That's just my guess. Maybe the year after will become TE material.

141 now.  And 30 DBs.  Lol

You would have thought we would have seen a lot more guys go into the portal this go around.  I am guessing there are not going to be many spots available in the spring for backups.

I guess spring practices will be a blood bath as 60 guys fight for 15 spots in the roster.

(PS - You have Javin Wright listed as a DB)
