I would guess a bunch of walk-ons have moved on without necessarily entering the portal.

Who knows how many players we need to truly leave.

Seems like 28-30 is a nice number if NU plans to try to get a few studs after teams finish the playoffs.  

I also think the staff/department has been transparent with the players for months and will assist them anyway they can.  

However, there could be pink-slips for a few guys that want to force the issue.

There are enough walk-ons that just getting rid of the guys who are way down the list will get us under 105.  Even enough room to take a few more transfers.
