Who's Leaving? 2024/25 version

At the end of the day.  We should have ~20-22 DBs/Safeties and 15-18 WRs?  That's 4 deep plus a few special teamers?

And we currently have 30 and 17??

141 now.  And 30 DBs.  Lol

You would have thought we would have seen a lot more guys go into the portal this go around.  I am guessing there are not going to be many spots available in the spring for backups.

I guess spring practices will be a blood bath as 60 guys fight for 15 spots in the roster.

Yeah, agree on this for the most part.  I would guess a lot of the walk-ons will go FCS if not Division II if they want to keep playing football.

(PS - You have Javin Wright listed as a DB)

Thanks!  Fixed.

Sounds like Holgo pretty much said thanks but we aren't interested.
Watching back some of the games from this year, I don't know if I have ever seen a 6'4 WR so ineffective at using his frame as Neyor. Did not high point the ball well. Wasn't physical. And then of course the drops. The drops vs Wisky and Iowa just can't happen.

I remember going into this year and seeing the size of our receivers and thinking....dang....those guys are going to be problems for other teams.

Ummm....never happened.

Wonder if it was a swing and a miss with the guys, lack of a good position coach, or a combo of both. WRs could not get off of the coverage to get open frequently. I am guessing this changes with Dana and new position coach!

‘I do find it comforting she former players in the portal land somewhere. Even if it is a lower division.
Not sure why it would bother you much if they didn't. The time is up for all of us at some point in our careers. If you aren't good enough for the next level, you aren't good enough. It's just the way of the world in general.

I think he badly misplayed his hand here. Callahan was saying that he was basically told he wouldn’t get snaps in the bowl game and it was time to go.
Pink slips.  Sounds like Fidone got one too, perhaps.  There will be a lot more to come.  Roster is huge.

Coaches got to have these tough talks.  "Appreciate your hard work for 4-6 years, but this is were we are at today".
