The Democrat Utopia

He's taken more than $200k from his PAC this far to pay himself.  The other issues is that his politics exemplify why Democrats are shedding minority voters and make them lose elections.

He's the exact opposite kind of person Democrats need in influential positions to win elections.
I mean he’s just a professional political grifter. He’s not different from all the people who just attach themselves to Trump and claim to be helping to SAVE AMERICA as long as you give to their scammy pet projects, albeit having a more tragic backstory.

The fact people can make their living being the equivalent of a political influencer is just weird, IMO.

I completely agree.

The problem is he won an internal election to be Vice Chair of the Party like a week ago. This guy needs to be launched into a super massive blackhole, not be promoted because they think his grift is a good thing to win elections.

If it’s any consolation DNC positions are about as impactful as any random Trump underling. They exist primarily to fundraise, which obviously is his forte anyway.

If we start seeing stories about Hogg influencing the party platform, I’ll get a touch concerned. I’m no fan either. But even that’s only worth the paper it’s written on. The next nominee can completely overhaul it at their whims anyway.

But yeah, he’s not particularly someone I think they’d be well advised to model their future after.

The sad thing is, he could have taken his experience and done some good. But…no.

He's managed to parlay his experience in the tragedy to create a not-so-above-the-board Super PAC that basically wastes donors money and he keeps. He's managed to grift his way to become Vice Chair of the Democratic Party, a sort of powerless position, but one that is more symbolic of the faux-activist rot that plagues Democrats.

I can only imagine how people process tragedy and what motivates them to action. But I was always uncomfortable how fullyJohn Walsh embraced the celebrity that came with hosting America's Most Wanted, and I get a bit of that vibe with David Hogg.

Walsh is certifiably insane, btw.

I caught an interview he did on Todd n Tyler a year or two ago when they were rebooting the show. It was 95% fear mongering about how dangerous and lawless America had become, violent crime was up (it’s not), etc. Very Trump adjacent, similar to the caravan era stuff the GOP used to love.

If he was at one point a reasonable man, count him as another victim whose brain was irreparably broken by the MAGAfication of the American right.

Walsh did kind of wait a long time before he did the Americas Most Wanted thing, didn't he?

Hogg sort of went right into it.

Plus it gave us this
