Expecting them to have a reason for voting for and continuing to support Trump must be too “woke” for them. In their mind, others expecting a logical explanation = wanting to ban them. You can’t reason with the unreasonable.

I was seriously going to buy one for my company to be used as a local parts runner truck. I liked it because it was butt ugly and it looked like something we could’ve built. But Elon went and screwed that up.

I mean we haven’t made anything that looks like a Cyber Truck or “modern art” but we do quite a few things involving big flat panels of stainless steel so it wouldn’t be much of a stretch.

Speaking strictly as the originator of the thread, I think my initial post was honest and clear. Of course it's a trap, but it's really weird to be in a P&R Forum where not a single poster admits voting for Donald Trump in what should be a triumphant moment for Republicans. I can't think of anything more important than figuring this out moving forward.
I'm a notorious free speech purist and against virtually any board ban, so no, that's not my purpose. Pretty much the opposite.
Of course we still have posters willing to make excuses for Donald Trump and spread blame for liberals, but apparently the risk of a Kamala Harris presidency was not enough to warrant their vote for Donald Trump. I guess we could talk about that, but I'm still saving the spotlight for any of the 79 million Americans who voted for Donald Trump. Just one. We're still stuck on zero.
And yeah, I've looked in the mirror. This same board is full of threads dissecting what the Democratic Party did wrong, the rightward drift we should have recognized, the demographics we took for granted, our s#!tty messaging. But are you suggesting the Dems gave you no choice but to vote for Donald Trump? Including two open primaries? Not saying YOU voted for him, of course, just the other 79 million who didn't hold the ethical line like you did.
But here's the real crux. This isn't Trump Derangement Syndrome. We're being asked to accept derangement as the new normal. It's not just butt hurt libs making a fuss; a billion people around the world are going "seriously America? What the f#&%!?" It's wrong to think what's happening is okay. Some of it is literally crazy. Not the entertaining crazy some of you want to sell. Just straight up irrational cruelty.
Put another way: if we could go back to 2015 and tell you what might happen in the next 10 years if an unspecified Republican is elected President, and instead of "might happen" we listed everything that literally did happen, the Archy's and Nics of HB would laugh and say "never gonna happen, bro, you are soooooooooo paranoid." Of that I am sure.
So yeah. It's a conversation I still want to have. An unapologetic Trump voter telling us how they feel about the Trump 2.0 rollout. Again, not pretending they won't get angry pushback, but uhm......it's the Politics & Religion Forum. It's supposed to happen.

I’m bummed the market is down 10%, wish Trump would either do the tariffs or not do the tariffs. Not a fan of the waffling and uncertainty of it, and wish a they would slow down just a tad on a few things to get them right vs get them going. beyond that I’m fine.
I think the guy I voted for would have done similar things (maybe not the tariffs) but in a better fashion.
Like @nic, I’m not sure why this thread was created when there are multiple other threads these discussions take place in. Plus, who needs a “safe space” on an anonymous message board to state an opinion on something. LOL.
