The new Snow White 2025 Disney and Hollywood remake is getting slapped and smacked in the face.

Did you see the Original animated version from 1937?

Have you seen the 2025 remake?   :snacks:

Here are some high volume/popular reviews regarding the new Snow White 2025 movie.  That is if you are considering watching it.

Quite entertaining I must say.

This new Disney & Hollywood Snow White movie is currently rated 1.9 stars out of 10 on IMDB.   :rickjames   One of the most iconic movies and greatest stories of all-time.  How do you F-it-Up?

I had zero interest in seeing this movie ever since it was first announced, mostly because I'm not really into Disney live action remakes. But, the Rachel Zegler press tour on this a year or two ago also didn't do it many favors, in addition to the fact that I am rarely interested in Gal Gadot performances.

The thing with Gal Gadot is that... I don't think she's as bad of an actress as some of her iconically bad movie lines would suggest. I wonder if her issue is that she is trying so hard to pronounce words and lines correctly that it just takes her out of the ability to actual perform the line in a believable way. It's pretty brutal at times, though, and the clips I've seen from the movie of Gadot on social media seem to suggest similar problems.

This pretty much nails Gal Gadot for me too!

I don’t watch Gal Gadot for her acting prowess. Just sayin’.

It seems like Disney is soullessly ticking boxes in their movies lately. Less original content and more remakes.

I'm expecting a remake of Star Wars in the next ten years, maybe for the 50th anniversary in 2027.

I think this world needs some more original content.  That is what gets me.  There are a lot of great creative minds out there.

I have only liked a few things they have done with Star Wars.

I agree with everything being said here.

I really wished they would have hired real little people actors for the role of the dwarfs.  A lot of them said they would have loved to play the part.  And to be honest, they could have made some money instead of the reported $2 mil the movie spent on creating CGI freaky dwarfs.  I feel the real little people would have had better facial expressions and body movements more entertaining than CGI.  I feel bad that they didn't get work.

They ended up spending dozens of millions of dollars on reshoots, because their first plan that they shot most all of included 7 real actors but they were normal sized folks, and then people were pissed at the stupid decision, and then they decided to go with dwarfs but make them CGI and reshoot it all, which... kudos for making just about everybody mad.

Wow.... That's so bizarre to do.

I don’t know if your version is correct

Well is is right and it is pretty accurate, so now you do know.

The Snow White production spent $270 million that was reported, but other estimates suggest the real cost was over $300 million.

Disney and it's casting "Mouse House" casted normal size people, then changed it up and hired one dwarf, Martin Klebba, to play all 7 dwarfs with intent to use CGI.

And instead of paying little people for the role and providing work in a legacy story, they f#&%ed up.

I read your first link.  That may say "forbes" but it is CMO Network for use under Forbes name, and the author is a "contributor".

The contributor wrote 25 paragraphs (that's a lot of words and sentences), but only used just 3-4 quotes to write it.  I am guessing The entire article was more likely paid damage control when the s#!t hit the fan 6 months before release. It only hints why they did what they did.

I will listen to honest dwarfs tell the truth, aka little people.

Has there been any good remakes? I am trying to remember any I have seen. I am sure I have, but I can't think of any.

I think studios want to make sequels and remakes they see as safe.
