I agree but it would be extremely nice if those of us who already realized and didn’t vote for it could avoid the pain of THEIR reckoning.

A lot of the GOP said the same thing in 2015.  They just assumed it would happen in 2016.  When it didn't, they also jumped on the idiot train.  Now they are shook that what they predicted then is likely to still be true.

So now, because they didn't have the spines to stick to thoughtful governance, we are stuck in this s#!t show.

Like I told archy, there are more serious consequences than future election results or if things go R or D. This negatively affects everyone, R & D alike and only the very rich can laugh it off. If praying helps, everyone better do it because it doesn’t matter what letter you associate with. Except for the blame. This one is 100% on the Rs.

8:30-9:30am and 2:45-3pm

That was about it.

The real tragedy is that America was in an astonishing position. All Trump had to do was golf every day, do nothing, and claim credit for "fixing" America. Instead we're going to see the biggest destruction of wealth in history if these policies stay in place for a modest amount of time.

This is exactly why I've begged these people to stop voting for the last few years. It's hopeless to get them to understand the world, but the least they can do is not take their misguided worldview into the voting booth.

It was easy to see all this coming. It was the inevitable ending to the modern Republican coalition of voters. And now we're all going to suffer because these people are unimaginably stupid.

My genuine guess is that Trump was compromised by genuinely stupid and insane people and listened to their "advice".

I'm referring to Peter Thiel, David Sacks, and Elon Musk. These are, without a doubt, people who are rich but are genuine idiots when it comes to Economics. Then if you sprinkle on insane proto fascists like Steve Bannon and Stephen Miller, more genuine idiots who's expertise is weaponizing the stupidity of populism, I think you more or less get to what Trump is today.
