I have said for a very long time that we blindly support Israel way more than we should.  We should be using our influence on them (our willingness to help them defend themselves) to force them to not do stupid s#!t that makes everyone around them hate them.  We should be more of an intermediary between them and the rest of the arab world.  If we threatened to pull our support for a$$h@!e Netanyahu, he would act very differently to their neighbors.

If this is truly a "gift to the Air Force" why in the hell is it being given to the Trump Library after his term?  IMO, Congress should tell Qatar "thanks", cancel the current order for a new AF1, and keep this one for another 25 years.  That is the only way this would save American tax payers any money.

Yep. Supposedly, it wouldn't even be ready for service for 2-3 years.  So....Trump is going to use it as Air Force One for what....6-12 months before it's given to his library?

When are the planes originally ordered supposed to go into service?  I wouldn't think it would be more than 2-3 years from now.

Edit:  I found the answer.  The new plane is supposed to be ready for service in 2027.  So....about the time this one is supposed to be ready.

Remind me again what we are saving with this?

Also...Kristi Noem claims she needs a new plane because her's is 20 years old and...you know....nobody should be flying around for photo ops in dress up clothes in an old plane.

Guess what?  This plane that we are going to spend $800,000,000 on refurbishing to be used for 6 months as AF1 is 13 years old.

Could someone please tell me how this makes sense?
