Not really. But unlike you, I don’t see why the government should take more money from someone just to waste it like usual and still cause the debt to go up. Once the government can show themselves to be actual grown ups with spending, maybe we can have the tax increase talk.

The way poor people pay is by having safety net programs jerked out from under them. Can’t afford healthcare? Well there’s Medicaid….oops not anymore. And I’ll preemptively address your next goalpost move. Not everyone who has their Medicaid cut is or will be a dirty illegal alien. And just to be clear, I don’t think any illegal resident aliens should be getting any assistance from the government. So yes, please, if any are, get them off the dole now.

I think every dime of waste should be rooted out and stopped. I don’t think anyone’s taxes should be used to fund wasteful spending. I don’t think we should have a deficit and, unlike your favorite GOP party, I don’t think any more should be added to the deficit. The government should operate on a balanced budget. So spare me the conflating of tax increases on the ultra rich as promoting more wasteful spending. Unfortunately years and years of tax breaks and uncontrolled spending have gotten us where we are.
You are the one not even understanding the story. You keep saying poor people not getting tax breaks or poor people paying for billionaire tax breaks. Hard to do that when you don’t pay federal income tax. It’s a simple concept as you say.
I for one am quite happy that the GOP has dissension within the party in regards to this bill. It’s the only way to hopefully make changes with it. Sounds like you would prefer they all vote for it and get it passed instead.

The biggest glaring point is how much it adds to the deficit. And...this is from the "conservative" party. Which is a joke. Then, I have posted quite a few things in it that I don't like.....You would have to go back and review those.
Correct me if I’m wrong but isn’t that tax provision just extending the current tax code, but adding in SALT deductions which as you accurately state tends to help the wealthy much much more than middle class and upper middle class citizens?
