Agreed. Even the so-called "pass-catching" tight ends have to be able to block, and I don't recall Mo ever showing a lot of ability in that area - and even then he wasn't being asked to block tackles. Not sure he has much blocking ability, I think that a second/third wide receiver in the "Red Zone" will be his calling. I also think we would be a good possesion receiver (aren't they all?)
I would like him to call me and I will help catch passes in the NFL! :dumdumAgreed. WR. Even if he lacks in speed, he could trim down a little to improve his quickness. Keyshawn Johnson wasnt speedy, but made a living as a big target that moved the chains.
Anquan Boldin and Larry Fitzgerald are big targets that arent necessarily speedy.
Purify would have to bulk up A LOT to be able to play TE in the NFL....and learn how to block. Extradordinarily unlikey, IMHO. I can see him playing WR in the NFL with some success. With his size, he is quick enough to be a competent WR. He may not ever be in the pro bowl, but he can get the job done.Shannon Sharpe came out as a WR but was too slow, he bulked up and switched to TE, the rest is history........
