after he meets all the coaches and see the facilities i would think that we would have a pretty good shot at this guy... other schools that he's looking at are boise st and arizona ( not even close to nu in terms of tradition)...

 
Coach says ASU, BSU, and Nebraska

Martin ready for visitsIt took awhile but linebacker Eric Martin (Moreno Valley, Calif./Rancho Verde) is ready to start taking his official visits. He recently took the SAT allowing him to hit the recruiting trail.

Martin, a talented linebacker prospect will take this coming weekend off but then has three visits to close out the month.

"On (Jan. 16), he's going to Nebraska," RV coach Pete Duffy said. "The following weekend (Jan. 23), he has Boise State and then on (Jan. 30), he's going to Arizona State.

"Arizona is talking to him as well but if they want to trip him in, it will have to be this weekend and I don't know if they're bringing anyone in this weekend."

According to Duffy, Martin had a big senior season and is talented enough to play as a true freshman wherever he ends up.

"He's a freaking monster," Duffy said. "He's just a football player and as strong and tough as he is and how hard he works, there's no way he won't see the field. He'll find a way to play himself on to the field and the coaches will love his leadership skills. I've never had a leader like him before."

I really hope we get this kid, especially with all the rumors about Earnest Norman not meeting Nebraska's academic standards. :angry:

 
ah, dropped Boise State and changed his visit from the 16th to the 23rd.

was hoping to get him on campus with the other recruits
