Next seasons starting linebackers

I vote for Blake Lawrence!!!! BLAKE LAWRENCE!!!! I wish he went to KU, but since he did not, I at least am gonna support my local guy! Huskers are a solid fallback choice ;)

(I kid about the fallback part, calm down, just kidding)
Blake is a striker. He needs to be on the field.

Best players will play, period. Being a senior means jack, especially to Bo. If a guy like Dillard goes out and gets outplayed by Will Compton, you can bet your rear end that Compton will be starting.

This is nowhere near like BC where he catered to older players.

Even guys like Asante and Thenarse will have to bust their rear end not to lose their job. Guys like Cortney Osborne and PJ Smith could steal PT from them.

Honestly, he could very well be right. All of these guys have impressed the heck out the coaches.

Kyler is supposedly like Cody Glenn in pursuit. Just absolutely flies to the ball.
could dillard be moved to annother position?
Do you mean from MIKE to BUCK or WILL? Or like a move to DE?

Neither would happen though. He's a MIKE all the way. It's just that he has accomplished nothing in his career that guarantees him a spot. Besides Suh, Hickman and Allen, I really do not think anyone has played well enough to guarantee them their spot for next year.

I don't include McNeil in that small group because Cotton is shining. McNeil is good, but Cotton COULD be better. If we didn't have the depth at TE that we had Cotton could have easily played this past year.

Same for Helu and Castille. Neither has the job on lock. Both are good and either could win.

Meno could be included now that I think about it. He's been good enough in a backup role that he has finally earned that starting position.

I think we will see a lot more of a rotation with the front seven this upcoming year, because we actually have the depth to do it. Compton, Reed, Fischer, Whaley, Lawerence, and Dillard along with May, and Holt should all be good enough to see the field next year.

I know it is OT, and you probably have answered this before, but why the name Gamecocks but the symbol of the Dukies? Not meant to be a slam or anything, just curious is all.

(ON TOPIC: BLAKE LAWRENCE NEEDS P-T BABY)

Any idea how much (if any) playing time the non starters will get?

That seemed to be the biggest flaw in Bo/Carl's scheme last season...Hopefully it was just a matter of lack of depth, but somewhere...you need to develop your depth.
