Combining forums?

I think we probably want to merge the ex-Huskers forum into the general Huskers Football forum. While there are some posts about ex-Huskers that are not related to football, it's relatively small compared to the rest. And during most of the year, that's about the only forum some folks visit.

Let's just dissolve the ex husker forum and make an announcement that anything Husker goes in the husker football forum. Besides it makes the forum look busier

I know this is against the grain but I am beginning to think that it wouldn't be a bad idea to have a political debate sub forum in the BS forum. Personally I hate picking through those threads . They are all educated pissing matches that bore the hell out of me.

Carlfense has made reference to it in a thread as well.

Just a thought.

 
A pretty good idea, actually. How about this? We put is as a sub-forum in the Woodshed and let the fur fly. That way, we don't really have to monitor it much - which we'd still have to do if we put it in any other forum.

 
Want to post the suggestion - see how they react? Or I can do it. Given my dust-ups with a couple of the more strident right-wingers over the years, it might come across a little better if it wasn't from me, but what the heck.

 
Oh, another thought - if we're going to do it, we might want to include religion. Those two subjects - politics and religion - inevitably enflame emotion more than any others.

Another great idea. Im leaving for work Frank so if you need me to do anything just let me know and ill get it tonight.

 
I'll post something up in the BS forum and see what happens. If I draw a bad reaction from someone - what the hell. I'll just attribute the idea to a "thought that was presented to us".
