I still play my ps2 aswell. I am stuck on ncaa 06. I think i am in year 2043..??

You would have to figure that it would be the smart thing to do because there are alot of ps2s in use and they only made backwards compatible ps3s for a bit.

 
i honestly wouldnt expect to see anythinge beyond 2010 on ps2. I dont think much of anything beyond the sports games still gets a ps2 release.

And speaking as a ps3 owner, i have not played a ps2 game since i got the ps3. ps2 games just look awful on a hdtv. so i understand why they cut the backwards compatibility from them, mine actually has the ps2 hardware in it even.

 
Sorry I got so excited, it's just when I got NCAA Football '09 waiting at Midnight when it first became available, the guy at Gamers in La Vista, NE told me "Yep, this is gonna be the last NCAA Football game that EA Sports comes out with."

I guess he was wrong.
