Zac lee played a very good game... anyone that evaluates him differntly is completly out of touch with football.. look at the situation he as put in.. his first touch of the fball was down 7.. watson stuck with the pre written script the entire first quarter, we ran it on first down on every drive and didn't gain a thing putting us in a very predictable situation... second quarter we started to open it up and mix up what we did on first down, guess what, we moved the ball.. the entire game comes down to lack of execution inside the 20.. plain an simple!!! either we had missed assignments on the line, a penalty, or dropped ball... we simply didnt execute inside the 20, its that plain and simple folks!
Sorry, but he played terrible. People are guessing it was the crowd, or the blitzes, or whatever, and maybe those contributed, but there was
definitely something else. During that stretch of 8 incomplete passes, those were not because of pressure or covered receivers, he was flat out MISSING throws. Even when
Currenski got open on that third and short, if Lee would have actually thrown the ball to him he could have started running downfield, but instead he had to tip-toe the sideline and fall out of bounds. There was something seriously wrong with Zac Lee today, and it was a separate factor than the pressure (most of the time when he got hit he still had a few seconds in the pocket anyways) or the receivers being well covered.
