Since everyone here is playing the blame game, let's take a look at who is really to blame for the Husker loss..... Ndamukong Suh.

if Suh the moron wouldn't have rushed McCoy so hard on that final pass attempt, then McCoy would have taken another step before throwing the ball out of bounds, and the clock really would have run out.

i can't wait until Suh is gone. he cost us the most important game in recent memory. good riddance Suh!!!

i honest to gawd thought the same thing after the play. in fact, i yelled "dammit suh" at the TV after the official review announcement, and had to explain myself to the rest of the group watching when they collectively gave me the evil eye.

 
Suh is boneheaded, what was he thinking he could have let colt run around all day back there, i mean what happened last time he didnt go after the qb and tried just containing him to let the clock run out.....o yea...va tech.....SUH IS A GOD and played lights out last night. sure gonna miss that big guy.

 
It's incredibly ironic. I know this post was intended as a joke... but it's actually completely true. Suh was too fast for the lineman trying to block him in the sliding pocket, he broke into the backfield and came full speed at McCoy, who had to throw it to avoid taking a sack. The ball hit the ground out of bounds with just under one second, which means two more steps and the game is over.

Not that Suh deserves any blame for this in the conventional sense, but if he doesn't get to McCoy than we win. Of course, there's also Adi's kick OOB and the uncatchable Prince PI, but that's pretty insane that Suh's pressure with 0:03 left caused the clueless McCoy to spare Texas the one second they needed to beat us.
