11 " of snow

Sittin in Southwest Iowa, forcasted up to 16 inches of snow with very high winds. Following up 13 inch. just 2 weeks ago. Hoping to get to KC on Sunday night to fly out to San Diego. Can't wait to get out of this crap.

I've been up for about an hour because of the ice/sleet/snow hitting the damn bedroom window. Winds coming right out from the north, it's gonna be a fun Christmas. Just gonna have to drink more coffee.

So far it's not bad here in north Lincoln. Really cold, but not a lot of snow. My driveway usually drifts pretty bad, but this time I don't think I'm even going to scoop.

It's a bit windy down here but we're dry and we have a clear blue sky with the sun shining. Beautiful day!

(Bo drops his long camo underwear and moons the sad sap nebraskans while slapping his buttocks) :woo

I had to drive from Omaha to OKC yesterday, and it was crazy to say the least. There was a 50 car pile-up on I-40 here. Thankfully we arrived early before the storm really kicked in. Looks like I brought Nebraska with me down here to Okieland!

It seems bad here in York. I don't have the foggiest when we will be able to leave the house- tomorrow or Sunday at the earliest.

To anyone contemplating leaving- don't. An old friend of mine just lost her 21 year old son in a traffic fatality by the Waco, Ne interchange Wed night. It just is not worth it.

We've received every bit of a foot of snow here in Northeast Nebraska, and all the roads have been closed since noon, so it looks like Christmas at home this year.

Oh well, as long as the electricity stays on - had a few quick outages this AM - and the hot toddies are flowing, it should be a good day. :cheers

Oh I wish this was a hot toddy day. But with a toddler and a teenager the atmoshere is not conducive. I might make them watch The Shinning though- that I might make them a little more quiet.

So you're to blame for the stuff <_< :sarcasm

What brings you to Okieland?
