this came off the rumerville forum . i just wanted input whethe he will be back or not so please quit with the please move this to the proper forum stuff.I think it is very important topic as it deals directly with the team and the future of the nebraska defense.The defense is well on track and dont want decommitments due to his release. as far a adultry being a sin not a crime please turn your attention to a former coach named frank solich.Had an affair and was released.so yes it can happen. I do hope he returns but who knows what will happen in the off season. hope for the best

If Carl is released they will have it on the news. For anyone to say on here if he will be let go, whether or not they have the inside track, it should go in rumorville, as that is what it is until it is confirmed by the University. TO will not make this decision as Carl is an assistant, and his job lies in Bo's hands, unless it was a major breach of UNL rules.

As for Frank being let go for adultery, most people would agree that Peterson and Solich did nto get along, and IMO the adultery stuff was made up to discreadit Frank, although I could be wrong.

 
i get a sweet, 4 inch round sticker that says im a donor, the thick football media guide every year, and the privilege to pay more and more money each year for them it seems.

Who here do you think is going to give you any actual information? It's a rumor (not "rumer"). Why don't you email Tom Osborne or Bo Pelini? I'm sure they'll be impressed with your need for input. :sarcasm

I haven't gotten a parking/speeding ticket since I put my little sticker in the back window. :) I guess I have been a booster for four years, and I am 34 now, so not all of them are 75 year old oil barons. I get the guide, an invite to a BBQ with Tom and Nancy once a year before a football game, and I get to go to the Directors dinner, where I get to shake TO's hand and they give you free vals pizza and some warm beer (actually it is pretty nice), and I guess I get Guy Roziers cell phone on speed dial, for any problems I might be having, and a meeting with him once a year, where he gives me some posters, and a coffee cup. Oh and a tax break <_<

hey va husker fan keep you opinions how stupid my request is to yourself. i dont need your condenssending attitude.i actually had emailed sean callihan.apparently it is a big deal to others including myself. as far as yourself i guess you have to prove yourself a spelling ace correcting others spelling trying to show yourself better,. i had a real concern and i did email sean callihan in lincoln to get input whether it was a real concern or not. i am sure that tom osborne or bo would be impressed with my need for input as it has to do with the university and the nebraska program. if you dont want to be helpful then dont answer my post simple. if you think it is stupid then go rot

Here's my take. I sincerely hope that he isn't fired. He didn't commit a crime. Yes, he may have done what is "morally" unethical, but holy cow, my guess is over 50% of married couples have had some kind of extra-marital stuff.

Hell, some of the people calling for his head probably know someone whom they still associate with and like that has had an affair.

Now, in his position, I understand that he may have to hold himself to a higher standard, and if you are going to sleep around, for goodness sake, don't be with a booster, especially if it is a BIG BOOSTER.

*** Now, to the coaching aspect. I would HATE to see Carl go. I would hate to see him leave for any reason, but facts are, he won't be here long. He wants to a be a HC and if the defense plays this well agian, jobs will be thrown at him. Anyone thinking that the D will suffer "greatly" without Carl is mistaken (IMO). Bo is the mastermind behind the defense

If Carl leaves for any reason, Bo will still have the defense playing at this same level. Bo is the mastermind...he was here at NU the first time, at OU, at LSU......all without Carl. And, I am sure Bo would be able to find another guru to take the position. I like Carl a lot, but, this is the Bo show.
