I get the newest sock-puppet has some rankling to do because that's what sockpuppets are for, but what's with the rest of you guys running with his ridiculous rumor? Use your head, folks. Carl ain't going nowhere - not now, not later.

You don't let a coach who's about to be shown the door coach your bowl game. You don't pay for his airfare, room or per diem, and you don't let him have any more contact with your players. Doesn't happen.

You don't let a coach who's about to be canned do interviews. You don't let him give insight into your defense to the press, and you don't let him continue to develop your defense's philosophy in an ongoing manner as evidenced by this article published today (01/02/10).

It's fun to speculate, but let's not lose our minds. Carl isn't going anywhere.

 
I am assUming that there was no "pun" intended......when you said put that rumor to BED :lol:

I will allow room for Carl to go to the bathroom, and dinner, and other personal matters as necessary in my analysis.

But that's it.

And he has to get permission to leave the boundaries of Lincoln. That includes driving on the HWY 77 bypass. Eagle is right out, as is Waverly, and he cannot go 13 money-saving miles north to Ernie's in Ceresco without written permission from everyone posting in this thread.

I think that's only fair. :)

I disagree. We don't disagree on much Knapplc but this time I think you're off. Why wouldn't you let the coach go through the bowl game? Why make a big stink about something and lose focus for the team and players? Wait till after the bowl game to conduct your investigation unlike TT and KU that blow up their programs midseason. This is just the diplomat Tom Osborne doing what is necessary to protect his Head Coach and the kids. Very smart move in my mind.

As for the token interviews given to the media....just a cover. Carl probably doesn't even know his pink slips coming. It's probably going to be in his box on this Friday so the media doesn't have the proper time to chew it up all week long.

It's too bad cause Carl is a great coach but NU will survive without him. He shouldn't have had affairs with Lesbians...........
