Questions:

Is this kid projected to be 4 star?

It sounds like he is being offered as a QB, but could WR be another possibility?

What is the turnover rate for kids who commit so early?

Would Watson going to another school have a big impact on him because Beck was his recruiter (is he here for our offensive style or is that not an issue)?

Does this lessen the need for a QB in the 2010 recruiting class especially since Carnes seems to be the same type of QB?
1. He's the #16 player in the Texas100, so he'll probably be around a 5.9 4* recruit and maybe a top 100 national recruit.(Judging by a couple of Texas's commits this year)

2. No idea, but he seems like he REALLY wants to go to Nebraska. He doesn't pay his way to California, Memorial Stadium, and the Big 12 Title game and decommit to a place like Mizzou IMO.

I believe that the editors on the Texas prep site under Rivals had Turner as the #16 overall prospect in the state of Texas for 2011. This is the biggest get out of Texas in quite some time.

Really? I hope we look for two next year regardless. Suntrup still an option? I'd hope so. We want some pure pocket passers too, and Taylor to move to DB.
I wanna see Taylor Martinez move to WR. I think he could be a freak at that position.

I think if Carnes commits then we will only be looking at taking one next year. Just my .02 cents. If Suntrup shows genuine interest then I'd be all for taking him, just don't know how much of priority getting two will be.

Anyone know the percentages of Junior commits who actually end up signing? I don't mean to be a downer, but a lot can happen between now and then.

Not sure, but someone else mentioned at HI that early commits usually stick with their original picks more often than not. I've no link to back up such an assertion, so take it for whatever it's worth.

EZ-E also mentioned that he heard Turner will enroll early, so if that's the case, then we can expect him at NU in Jan. 2011 along with Tyler Moore.

He paid to see the OU game and the bowl game I would think he remains a husker

^^ True. On top of that, it also helps that his good friend Donovan Vestal is a 2010 Nebraska commit. He mentioned in the article that he's looking forward to being a Husker with Vestal.
