Wow! This is quite a resume. Makes those "Chuck Norris wears Bo Pelini pj's" lines look silly. Apparently Carl is the real stud in the family. :koolaid2:

I don't know about anyone else...but I'll feel a whole lot better (or a whole lot worse) when contract extensions are announced...I remember Osborne being quoted as saying the assistants' contracts expire the end of January, and they will be announcing the new terms then. Well...its Feb 2nd...

Also strange to me, is the fact that a bunch of stories lately have Carl quotes in them, and the big write up on Huskers.com about staff continuity. A part of me thinks that would have gotten the ax, were anything going to happen in the next few days/weeks...but, I guess we won't know until we see the new contract info.

Contract extensions were announced today, if it wasn't already wonderfully obvious, Carl is coming back.

 
My daughter's teacher's husband and I catch a round of golf every once in awhile. The other day he told me that a source close to the Big 12 head of officiating's personal assistant had credible knowledge from an unnamed informant that works along side of the co-manager at Dundermifflin, said that all these rumors are true, but it was actaully Tiger wearing a Carl mask...just passing along what I've heard

 
Someone came into where I work today and asked if i heard of the Carl Pelini issue. I said yes but it's all bullsh#t, then he says "what, he didnt deserve to have a contract extension?" bahaha.

thats funny stuff. I immediately got a mental image of some guy behind a desk completely enraged yelling that, with the other guy standing there in shock with a pee spot spreading down his leg. Im not sure why that was the image I got, but it made me lol.

 
it was actually quite close to that, i know the guy quite well so when he asked " have you heard about Pelini?" I immediately said, " that's all bullsh#t and it aint true and i'm tired of hearin about that crap" and he says " about his extension?, we have him for a few more years, and youre pissed about that" and i said "ok n/m" It was quite comical, cuz i do have somewhat of a short fuse and all, funny how i immediately went off.

I always had a problem keeping the 'Little General' in line so if C-Pel has the same problem I don't have anything to say. I just wish sombody would give me the same kind of raise Carl got.

So what the hell happened. All the "i heard this" and "i heard that" and "i have a reliable source bla bla bla"'s shuttin their trap now that Carl got his raise and extension. Now we get to play the "I told you so" game.

 
Carl got a raise due to his on the field performance rather than his off the field performance. Just because he got a raise doesn't mean he did or did not have an affair. In the end, very few if any of us will ever really know whether it did or did not happen.

I'd say there's a chance we may know. If Carl gets divorced and his new girlfriend has the kid and people see them together then it's possible the story was true the whole time. Just sayin, if certain things happen in the future then things rumored could become fact and then we would know.

Without naming any names, the divorce notice of one of the parties in question was printed in today's Omaha World Herald. Where there is smoke there's fire? Or just a coincidence?

It becomes awfully curious why this person would be getting a divorce at this time. It makes it less likely that it's a coincidence, but it still doesn't put this person and Carl in a romantic situation.
