NOTE: This is not intended to begin a "stars" discussion, just an observation...

I like how everyone bashes Rivals for placing so much emphasis on the offer list, yet this is one of a thousand posts on Huskerboard where we do it :) (the difference is we only use it to justify increasing the stars or our targets/commits so then it's ok)

Precisely, if you are going to rank recruits based off of mostly offer list, then why not rank this kid on offer list.

The difference is we aren't talent evaluators on our own (for the most part). We can like a kid's tape or not, but looking at it individually, how many heavy-hitting schools are going after a kid is a strong indicator that a kid is good.

Rivals, on the other hand, are talent evaluators. You'd think they would evaluate this stuff based on tape and not get the cues from schools.
