The Program

If somebody would have told me three years ago that Nebraska would be in the preseason top 10 and have a record of 20-8 I would have sadly disagreed. Bo has exceeded my realistic expectations so far and I have bought into whatever he is selling...more importantly so have the players. I believe this year is pivotal for Bo and the program to prove that Nebraska is back. With Bo in charge and a confident and really good D I think we have a legite run at the National Championship. I am tired of rebuilding, lets see if Bo can reload.

I agree with much of your sentiment, however, I am not quite sure if we are at the "reloading" stage yet. As we saw from VT, ISU, and TT, we are still rebuilding, but I'm hoping that we will be there soon.

And, what will the move to the Big 10 do to this process, will it help or hurt? I don't see 2 teams in the Big 10 the caliber of tu and OU (tOSU being the one) but with PSU, Iowa, U of M, MSU, and UW, I think that the next level is slightly more difficult and stout than the next level of the Big 12 (Mizzou, TTech, OSU?). Hopefully, NU does not have to worry about the lower levels of either conference ever again. Will NU's style of play and schemes be conducive to success in the Big 10?

Time will tell, and it will be interesting.

The VT game was mostly a positive in my opinion. Sure, we lost and it was a devastating final minute (I was there) but in terms of the big picture, we went into a hostile environment and played toe to toe with a perennial power. We mostly dominated them until tyrods pass to coale. a few years ago I wouldnt have expected us to compete that well.

Basically, the VT game doesnt belong in the ISU, TT category. It belongs in the series of games that NU took a step forward towards restoring the order (like it or not, the B12 CCG was also a positive in the big picture)

When I came in here to read the topic I was severely disappointed. Here I thought there were gonna be a bunch of guys talking about the movie but I guess I will have to settle for Husker praise :koolaid2:

Lattimer-"Staring defense! Place at the table!" ( smashes head through car window )

Classic movie, I am going to have to watch it tonight.

Alvin Mack: "Let's open up a can of kick a$$ and kill 'em all, let the paramedics sort 'em out."

I watch that movie at least once or twice before the season starts

Actually most on here three years ago expected just exactly what has happened. Or at least stated they thought that. I must admit I was not one of those. I was totally against the hiring of Bo.

I am certainly glad that I was way off base and the great Husker fans saw the real value of Bo.

He has surpassed my wildest dreams for the program, not the wins or the losses, but the leadership of the program is in good hands. I never thought I would be able to say that.

I must admit, I was 100% wrong on how he would run the program. Who ever the booster was that put this all in motion, Nebraska owes a lot to him, as he had vision that most do not.

Most of us wanted Pelini as HC after the Michigan State game. You were in the minority.

I'm getting really sick if the word "back". Until Merriam-Webster puts out an official definition in its football context, I submit it be banned from HuskerBoard!

I personally think we need to stop worrying when every Joe Schmoe and football announcer says we are "back" and start worrying about winning one game at a time.
