Suh working with first string D

the organization won't hesitate to kick a player to the curb the second his level of play begins to decline.

It's a business, remember that.
This, apparently, is a hard thing for many people to wrap their brains around. The NFL is a business. The NCAA is becoming more business-like every day.

I understand that it is a business, but a very overpaid business in all regards.

We are seeing the evidence that it is reaching the top as many baseball teams are struggling in ticket sales. The NFL is seeing it according to their commissioner. But stated they would not lower ticket prices in the hardest hit areas.

Personally I feel I would rather see a teacher, a doctor make the kind of salaries that a player makes.

And I agree the college level is seeing it with the sky boxes to bring in the big buck sponsors and boosters. I guess I am just to old school to see the need for that much money.

We see growth in off the wall sports that the everyday fan can attend for less than s small loan on their house.

As long as the masses continue to endorse the prices, buy the clothing, we will see it grow, but soon, very soon you will be paying to watch every NFL game on tv is my guess. I very seldom watch a pro game of any type. But once I have to pay to watch it on TV I will be done with it.

It bothers me to pay the pay per view for our games, as it could be shown via internet if the conference would allow it.

Raiola really can't say much. He gave up his Senior year to make the bucks. At least Suh came back and improved himself. imo

Don't remember Dominic thanking the state or the school for the free education.

I'm with ya skersfan. The NFL teams/players are pricing themselves out of business slowly but surely.

cruised the lions forums for game updates. guess its raining like heck there and theres been a stoppage, but after the 1st team was already out. gathered that they love KVB's motor, and that him and Anvril are benefitting from suh's presence because...

:throwdabones1: pitts was double teaming him. :throwdabones1:

also saw that the game will re-air tomorrow at 9am central on NFL network. the live game broadcast went out several times tonight, im guessing because of the weather.

and to add to the discussion...saw an article awhile back that said the tv rights money alone that is dished out to each team covers the salary cap. everything else is gravy.

You also have to remember the player's union gets involved and demands more pay across the board for the athletes so it's a complex situation.

I won't look at the comments here, so i don't get surprised in the ending, but I will watch the game on NFL Network tomorrow at 9am.

Anyone interested in listening to the game can here: http://player.radio....50&station=2108 Game is on now.
Use to hearing agricultural adds constatly on gameday radio here, but it seems like every other add on Detroit radio is for home security cameras...

I missed the game and didn't hear them mention Suh in the post game talk, anybody see/hear anything. Seems like they really love Vanden Bosch and the pressure he got on the QB.

Have it scheduled to DVR in the morning on NFL network, heard he played 2 series, got double teamed mostly, but freed up his ends for 2 sacks.

Yeah I listened to the radio broadcast and they were saying he was getting double teamed. A rookie already getting double teamed! I love that!
