Yeah even on the Buffs board there is mention that Lake tried to commit to the Huskers but he is on hold until a decision comes from Carter.

I find the "tried to commit" comment very hard to believe. I see Lake as an Oregon lean. If he wanted to commit, the NU coaches would gladly accept it. I know we are limited with schollies but Lake is worth one. Just a hunch though.

Ditto. Didn't Lake visit before we were even in that much with Carter? Yeah Lake visited in October and Carter came with Stafford for the Buff game. All the serious talk about Carter started up a little before his visit. Carter has been committed to Zona since last March. I think there may have been other DE guys the coaches may have been hoping to land but, I am with SkerChicago and say if he wanted to commit it would have been acccepted. Still think he is a Duck.

 
I'm just saying I could see our coaching staff putting their eggs in the Carter basket then missing on him if his offer from a southern school comes up and by then Lake is gone, I'm pretty sure Bo wanted him to wait and go through the process like he does with most of his recruits just make sure they know, and now that we've become so into Carter we may miss on Lake JMO.

 
Yes, the in-home with JP went great. Says JP is different than all the other coaches (I hope Bo does whatever possible to keep him around for looooooong time). He is visiting CU this weekend and will decide next week as planned. Positive article but who knows :)

 
Glad to see JP working hard on trail again, the guy is a stud recruiter. But in the end, its tough to get these west coast kids to come to the midwest.

 
Talman on sports nightly tonite sounded confident in us getting Lake.

The thing that puts us over the top might be his girlfriend. Sounds like she wants to go to Creighton. Somebody best call Creighton and make sure they tell her she's N!

not sure how or why, but creighton regularly gets students from the islands, so there is always a decent sized hawaiian community. glad to see that connection helping NU.

my pediatrician when i was a senior asked me where i was gonna go to school ( i guess he went there) and actually gave me an application.... i didnt have the heart to tell him i was WAAAYYY to dumb to attend that school at that point in my life....

but one of my friends went there and some how got to know eric crouch.... said he was a cool guy but with a big ego
